Carpet Cleaning in Weddington, NC

Carpet in a larger floor plan

We do not know your floor plan until we see it, but we know what happens in houses with a lot of rooms. If your home has bonus rooms, formal living and dining rooms, extra bedrooms and wide stairs, the carpet adds up, and it does not wear evenly. A room used twice a year can look nearly new beside the family room and the main stairs. When we plan a whole-house cleaning, we count the rooms and areas with you and decide where the most attention belongs. Our hot water extraction method works hot, soft water and a cleaning solution into the carpet and recovers it, with the loosened soil and most of the moisture, using strong suction.

Pollen, mud and the outdoors indoors

If your property backs onto trees, a garden or open ground, you already know how the outdoors comes inside. Every spring, pine pollen coats cars, porches and window sills across the Charlotte area, and it settles into carpet and upholstery too. After a heavy rain, clay-colored mud gets tracked in from the yard and the driveway, and the carpet just inside the garage door or the back hall takes the worst of it. Pets that go in and out all day add hair and odor in the same places. Our cleaning solutions are family and pet friendly, and an enzyme deodorizer is available for stubborn pet odors.

Next door in Wesley Chapel

Weddington shares NC 84, which is called Weddington Road, with the village of Wesley Chapel, incorporated in 1998. Wesley Chapel's high school, opened in 1901, is described as the first rural public high school in North Carolina. We clean in both places, and if your address is on that road or near it, you will find the same service here.

Tile and hard surfaces

If your kitchen, entry or bathrooms have tile, the grout is where dirt collects. We use a high-pressure rotary tool with dual rotating jets that lifts soil out of the grout lines rather than pushing it around. Sealing the grout afterward is optional, and if you are not sure your floor needs it, we will tell you what we see.

Rugs, upholstery and outdoor surfaces

If you have area or oriental rugs, we clean them in your home, checking dye and fiber first. Sofas, sectionals and chairs get a fabric test before we choose a method. Outside, we pressure wash driveways, walkways, decks and siding, which helps if pollen and algae collect on larger surfaces.

A little local history

Through the middle of the last century, Weddington was farmland, with family farms, two-lane roads and a long drive to Charlotte. The community took its name from Weddington Methodist Church, renamed around 1890 after gifts from Reuben B. Weddington, who helped build a new church building. As Charlotte grew in the 1970s, subdivisions began to replace farm equipment. The old Weddington School closed in 1975 with about 67 students, and Weddington Elementary opened on Deal Road in 1996 as the first of a three-school complex.

Residents who did not want Charlotte to annex them petitioned to incorporate, partly to keep the rural, down-home atmosphere they valued, and the town became official on May 2, 1983. Its center sits where NC 16, also called Providence Road, meets NC 84.
