Carpet Cleaning Technician
Our Truck Mounted Carpet Cleaning System.

We offer the following services:

Carpet Steam Cleaning

We use a truck mounted steam cleaning system to deep clean carpet fibers. This removes the dirt and grime that vacuuming leaves behind. We use the best carpet cleaning equipment to get the best results.

Scotch Guard©

This is a protectant that is applied to the carpet that seals out stains from the carpet fibers. This can help extend the life of the carpet as well as keep it looking cleaner longer.

Carpet Deodorizing

During the cleaning process we use a natural bacterial enzyme that penetrates deep into the carpet fibers that naturally digests the source of bad odors in the carpet.

Pet Enzyme Cleaning & Treatment

This powerful waste-digesting, bacteria producing enzyme breaks down organic material in the carpet. It’s effective on pet urine, feces and blood.

Steam Cleaned Carpets

Family and Pets on Clean Carpet

Allergy & Asthma Friendly

If allergies are an issue for you or your loved ones, we can help. Homes are commonly filled with allergens like dust, pollen and pet dander, and they settle deep into carpet. Our hot water extraction pulls much of that out of the carpet, and regular professional cleaning helps keep it from building up.

Pet odors and stains

We love our pets, and they are part of the family, but sometimes they bring their own smells and leave their own messes. Our technicians can treat pet odors and stains with an enzyme that breaks down the source instead of covering it up, and the cleaning solutions we use are family and pet friendly, so your home smells fresh and clean again.

Our tools

Our main tool for steam cleaning carpet is the Evolution Wand, which is designed to recover more water from the carpet as it cleans. Less water left behind means less soapy residue and a shorter drying time, so you can get back to using your carpet sooner. For heavily soiled traffic lanes, we also offer RotoVac 360 cleaning, a power brush that cleans in all directions at once. It costs a little more, and we will tell you if we think your carpet would benefit.

How often to clean your carpet

Carpet manufacturers commonly recommend professional cleaning about every 12 to 18 months. Homes with pets, children or allergy sufferers, and high-traffic spots such as entries, hallways and stairs, do better with cleaning more often. The signs are easy to see: a gray path along the hall, stairs that look darker than the landing, a smell that comes back after the windows have been open, or a spill that never quite came out.

Getting ready for your visit

Before we arrive, put away breakables and small items from the floor, and tell us about any pets, trouble spots or stains. We move small and medium furniture out of the way, clean the whole area and set the furniture back on protective blocks when we finish. Larger pieces are cleaned around, and we tell you before we start if something cannot be moved.

Kids, pets and allergies

Children and pets spend their time on the floor, so the solutions we use are chosen to be family and pet friendly. Keep children and pets off the carpet until it is dry. If someone in your home has allergies or sensitivities, tell us when you book. Regular cleaning removes the dust, pollen and pet dander that settle into carpet, which is one more reason to keep to a schedule.

Where we work

We clean carpet across Charlotte and the nearby towns in North and South Carolina. You can see every place we work on our service areas page, and the section below covers the Charlotte neighborhoods we serve.

Carpet Cleaning Steps

Inspection

We always inspect the entire area to be steam cleaned before we do any work. After a thorough inspection we will give you our recommendations on which methods to use for cleaning and will advise of any issues, such as permanent damage to your carpet that we may not be able to fully restore.

Furniture Removal

Small to medium sized furniture will be removed from the cleaning areas as best as possible to allow us to clean your entire carpet area.

Dry Soil Removal

Removal of dry soil is essential to the process and allows for maximum efficiency when steam cleaning carpets. We’ll use our commercial grade upright vacuum cleaner to remove loose dirt and particles from the areas to be cleaned.

Spot Cleaning and Pretreatment

We will spot clean and pretreat all areas of the carpet. We always use Eco-Friendly products which are friendly for you and your family as well. This step helps to separate the soil from the carpet fibers.

Soil Extraction

This is where the actual steam cleaning takes place. We use our truck mounted vacuum system to heat the water to 240 degrees and it is pressurized deep into the carpet and removed with The Evolution Wand. This removes soil, bacteria, viruses, pollen and more from your carpets.

The Wrap Up

After we are done cleaning all areas we will replace your furniture back to their original locations on top of blocks to help protect the furniture and the carpet. We’ll show you a sample of the water that was extracted from the carpets during the cleaning process so you can see what deep carpet cleaning does for your carpets. We’ll give you recommendations on how to dry the carpets and how often your carpet should be cleaned. You will receive your invoice for services rendered electronically on the spot.

We Use Eco-Friendly Cleaners

We try to work mostly with products that contain sodium percarbonate, a source of concentrated hydrogen peroxide, which is an oxygen bleach. There are two types of bleach, oxygen bleaches and chlorine bleaches. Oxygen bleaches are more eco-friendly, whereas chlorine bleaches are not.

When dissolved in water, sodium percarbonate releases hydrogen peroxide and soda ash. It is often used in environmentally friendly cleaning products because it breaks down into oxygen, water and natural soda, and it is less damaging than chlorine bleach. It contains no phosphorus or nitrogen, which makes it a good eco-friendly choice, and it dissolves easily in water.

Related Services

Many customers add other services to the same visit, so the whole home looks fresh: upholstery cleaning for sofas and chairs, area and oriental rug cleaning in your home, and tile and grout cleaning for kitchens and baths. You can see every place we work on our service areas page.

South and southeast Charlotte neighborhoods we serve

We clean carpet, upholstery, rugs and tile in homes across south and southeast Charlotte, from the older streets around Myers Park to the neighborhoods off Johnston Road. Each house is different, so we come to your door, look at what you have and choose the method that suits it, whether that is a hand-knotted rug on a hardwood floor or carpet on a busy staircase.

Myers Park, Eastover & Foxcroft

Between Queens Road and Sharon Road

Myers Park is a historic district that grew out of the old Myers family farm, and Eastover, across Providence Road, was the first suburb in the city to build its houses with driveways. If your home pairs hardwood floors with oriental rugs, keeps upholstered pieces that have been in the family for years, or has carpet on the stairs and in the bedrooms, it calls for a careful hand: we test a rug's dyes where it won't show, check a sofa's fabric before choosing a method, and go easy on moisture where carpet sits over older flooring.

Foxcroft, to the south toward SouthPark, gets the same care. Getting the house ready for guests or a sale? Tell us which rooms matter most, and we'll plan the visit around them.

Cotswold, Providence & Sardis

Along Randolph, Sharon Amity, Providence and Sardis roads

Cotswold took its name from the English countryside, and its shopping center at Randolph and Sharon Amity roads began as one of Charlotte's first suburban malls. Many of its 1950s and 1960s houses are being remodeled, and remodeling dust settles into carpet and upholstery long after the work is done. A deep cleaning lifts what a vacuum leaves behind, and if you've just put in new carpet, we can help it stay that way.

Out along Providence Road and Sardis Road, in neighborhoods such as Providence Plantation, Sardis Woods, Stonehaven and Lansdowne, family life shows up on the floor: kids, pets and daily traffic wear paths into the family room and the hallway. Our solutions are family and pet friendly, and an enzyme treatment goes after pet odors at the source.

Quail Hollow, Carmel & Ballantyne

From Carmel Road to Johnston Road

Quail Hollow takes its name from the private club founded there in 1959, and Carmel Road is one of the main roads through this part of south Charlotte. Farther south, homes surround the Ballantyne Country Club, off Johnston Road and Ballantyne Commons Parkway.

When there are a lot of rooms to clean, carpet is usually only part of the job. We can clean the sofas and chairs, the area rugs, and the kitchen and bathroom tile in the same visit, and we move small and medium furniture and set it back on blocks when we're finished. List everything you'd like done when you book, and we'll plan the day around it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have some questions about your services? Take a look below to see if these can help. If not please contact us directly and we will be glad to answer your questions as best we can.

CARPET CLEANING

We use hot water extraction, commonly called steam cleaning. Hot, soft water and a specially formulated cleaning solution are worked deep into the carpet fibers, and then powerful suction pulls out the deep-down dirt, allergens, cleaning solution and most of the moisture. It is the cleaning method carpet manufacturers commonly recommend.
Typically, an area is a room that is up to 300 square feet, which is 15 by 20 feet or approximately the size of a two-car garage. A living room and dining room combination counts as two areas. Any area over 300 square feet but under 600 square feet is priced as two areas. Non-standard areas such as baths, halls, landings and walk-in closets are priced separately from the standard areas, usually at a lesser price. Room sizes may vary by location.
On average, it takes approximately 20 minutes per room. This time can vary greatly depending on the amount of furniture to be moved, how soiled the carpet is and any necessary spot removal treatments.
Dry time is affected by humidity, temperature and airflow in the area, and it can take anywhere from about half a day to a full day for the carpet to dry completely. Running fans in the rooms we cleaned and turning on your air conditioning or heat, depending on the time of year, helps speed drying. Leave the protective blocks under furniture legs, and any paper used with upholstered items, in place until everything is completely dry, to avoid color transfer. You can walk on your carpet right after cleaning, but avoid street shoes, which can re-soil it, and be careful walking from damp carpet onto bare floors so you do not slip.
The problem comes from residue left in the carpet, which attracts dirt. It usually happens when soap used in the cleaning process is not rinsed out completely. Our specially formulated solution and hot water extraction process leave little to no residue behind to attract dirt.
Most spots that are removed from carpet do not reappear, but some substances in the carpet backing can wick up to the surface after cleaning. If that happens, please call us at 704.258.9790 as soon as possible.
We cannot guarantee that we will remove all spots or stains. Some substances can permanently discolor carpet fibers, and the age of the carpet and the type of fiber also play a part. The technician will try to tell whether that is the case before cleaning, but it is not always possible to know before trying to remove the spot.
As the carpet dries, bubbles or ripples should start to lie flat again, and once it is dry they should be hard to notice. They are usually a sign that the carpet needed restretching before the cleaning. If the ripples do not go away after the carpet is completely dry, please call us at 704.258.9790 as soon as possible.
We cannot guarantee that cleaning will get rid of all fleas. We usually recommend that you kill the adult fleas first by whichever method you prefer, which a professional exterminator can help with. Keep in mind that the carpet is not the only place fleas lay eggs, so consider having your upholstery cleaned and treated as well as any area rugs or pet beds.
When you compare prices, ask a lot of questions and keep a few things in mind. Our price includes treating spots in the area we clean, and there are no hidden fees or additional charges. We also never subcontract, so our technicians are always our own background-checked, drug-tested and properly trained employees. That is what allows us to stand behind all of our work.
We are happy to work with you to correct any situation that may arise. In some cases that can mean spot cleaning specific areas of concern or even cleaning the area again. In the end, we are not satisfied until you are.
Carpet manufacturers commonly recommend professional cleaning about every 12 to 18 months. Homes with pets, children or allergy sufferers, and high-traffic areas such as entries, hallways and stairs, benefit from cleaning more often. If you are not sure, we will tell you what we see when we look at your carpet.
We move small and medium pieces of furniture out of the way so we can clean the whole carpet area, and we set them back on protective blocks when we finish. Larger or heavier pieces, such as big bookcases, are cleaned around, and we will tell you before we start if there is something we cannot move.
The solutions we use are family and pet friendly, and we would not use a product in your home that we would not use in our own. Keep children and pets off the carpet until it is dry, and tell us about any allergies or sensitivities when you book.
We treat pet stains and odors with an enzyme that breaks down the organic source of the problem, urine, feces and blood included, instead of covering it up. Fresh accidents respond best. If an old accident has soaked through the carpet into the backing or the padding, we cannot always remove the odor completely, and we will tell you what to expect before we start.

CARPET PROTECTION

As the finishing touch to a thoroughly cleaned carpet or upholstery, a specially formulated protector can be professionally applied. These products help carpet and upholstery resist soiling from dry dirt and water- and oil-based spills by wrapping each fiber in a protective coating. That extra layer gives you more time to clean up spots and spills before they soak into the fibers, helps keep your carpet and upholstery looking its best between professional cleanings, and makes vacuuming and cleaning up spots easier.
A dry soil protector comes on most carpet from the manufacturer. It wears away over time with everyday traffic. Carpet manufacturers recommend reapplying the protector about once a year, and perhaps more often in heavy-traffic areas.
Our Odor Out Plus deodorizer uses a natural bacterial enzyme action to digest organic odor sources such as vomit, feces, urine, milk and blood. It removes the organic odors it contacts, and it also uses a neutralizer to give immediate relief while the enzyme works. The key to completely removing an odor is that the product must reach all of the contaminated surfaces. If the source has soaked through the backing and possibly the padding, we cannot guarantee complete removal of the odor.
